A sponsored commercial editorial campaign for YOU Magazine, comprising two double-page spreads and a six-page cover wrap, created to champion Matalan as the nation’s everyday hero through the lens of real relationships and shared moments.

The print executions featured studio-shot talent including Christine Lampard with her sister, Rachel Stevens, Debbie Le Grainger and Cat Deeley, all styled exclusively in Matalan. Each piece combined fashion with storytelling, with a focus on summer styling, autumnal looks and a denim-led six-page feature, reflecting how women dress for meaningful moments in their everyday lives.

Working closely with the copywriter, project manager, photographer, stylist, set designer and talent, the role centred on the print design and art direction, including on-set shoot support to ensure imagery was captured with layout, pacing and print execution in mind. The content balanced aspirational fashion with warmth and authenticity, allowing genuine connection to drive the narrative.

Part of a wider multi-channel campaign spanning print, digital, video and audio, the print work celebrated the close female bonds that underpin modern life. By spotlighting authentic celebrity relationships and personal stories, the campaign positioned Matalan as an integral part of these moments — driving desire, discovery and destination within the UK’s most-read women’s magazine.
